PENG
Yu-Ping, female, PhD, professor and advisor of doctoral students,
has been engaged in teaching and research in Physiology and
Neurobiology for nearly 20 years and major research focuses of
their research group are on neuro-endocrine-immune interaction
networks. Now, Dr. Peng is vice-dean of
School
of
Basic Medical Sciences
,
Nantong
University
. She is a member of Teaching Committee of the Chinese Association
for Physiological Sciences, also a member of Teaching Committee of
the Chinese Society for Neuroscience, as well as a vice-chair
of the Executive Council of Jiangsu Provincial Society for
Physiological Sciences. In addition, Prof. Peng is a candidate of
¡°Three Hundred and Thirty-Academic and Technological Leaders of
Intercentury¡±. In recent years she has performed some research
projects supported by national and provincial foundations,
including grants from NSFC/RGC Joint Research Scheme of the
National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Natural
Science Foundation of China, Educational Department of Jiangsu
Province of
China
, and ¡°Program of Six Talent Tops¡± of Jiangsu Province of
China. A research achievement entitled ¡°The Relationship Between
Neurotransmitters and Immune Functions¡± was awarded the third
grade-prize of Ministry of Communications in 1999. During the
recent 3 years, Dr. Peng has published more than 30 papers in some
leading journals, among which 7 papers were embodied by Science
Citation Index and cited for many times. Furthermore, as an
editor-in-chief or a writer, some textbooks, including
¡°Physiology¡± and ¡°Neurobiology¡±, were published. Moreover,
an overseas excellent textbook entitled ¡°Neuroscience: Exploring
the Brain¡± was translated and published, as a translator.
