Pathophysiology in 1981. Now serving as professor of physiology,
Ph.D. advisor at the Department of Physiology and

; and director of Laboratory of Bio-active Peptides; and chair
of
Institute
of
Clinical
medicine,
Peking
University
First
Hospital
. Prof. TangĄ¯s research has been focused on the research of
cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology, such as
cardiovascular bio-active moleculars, endogenesis cell
protection, and cell signaling pathways. Prof. Tang has been
awarded important research grants, including from the National
Major Basic Research Program ("973") and the National
Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). During the recent 5
years, Tang's laboratory has published more than 500 research papers in the core
journals of
China
, and more than
100 in
international SCI periodicals. Prof. Tang is Associate Editor in
Chief or Member of the Board of more than 20 journals, including
Acta Physiologica Sinica, Journal of Peking University (Health
Science), Chinese Medical Journal, and Chinese Journal of
Pathophysiology, etc. The major awards he has been granted
include a Second-class National Prize for Progress in Science
and Technology and more than 30 awards at the ministerial
(provincial) level.
